It was sad and I never really understood what happened, then again I didn’t know him that well. It was sad, but it was also an end to something that needed to end. And a beginning of a new chapter. Looking back at my own life, moments like those defined new beginnings, so in a way there was good in it. For you. In a way if it hadn’t happened I don’t think you would be where you are now, looking back at this moment. There is no going back and in a way the ocean is the most life affirming place to be, because it reminds us, facing our greatest fear is sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves. Do you remember how bitter it was that day and how I had the engine running, with the heater on full blast? It makes a beautiful images, yet I hate the cold, greyness, darkness.
