The Soulless Money
Everywhere I see us running faster and faster for these notes, when in fact we could slow right down; chosen another way of managing our society. In the west, defining necessity could be converted into a couple of days a work a week, but the price of owning a roof over your head has been marked up so much, allured by the greedy potential of increasing your financial wealth, making the majority of people work the overwhelming part of the daylight hours, most of their adult life, just to secure a stamp size roof over their heads. And in the less fortunate part of the world, the majority of people are forced into the same system of slavery, just to have food on the table. Why? Why are you handing over your balls to the banks? Letting the people of power juggle them like glass marbles in their hands; being able to crush your whole life at will? They won’t as long as you keep working, keep slaving. The minute you stop to think or raise your voice, they raise the arm, ready to smash them against the ground; you obey. You obey because you are afraid – and with good reason. Be free, do what life asks of you. Not what you are being told. Define your necessities. Let money be just what it is. A tool to trade those necessities, not your life. Keep the latter filled with soul. Keep sharing.
